* 機械学習 ( Machine Learning ) とは、あらかじめ与えられたデータに従って、内部の処理を変更できるアルゴリズムである．
* Tom M Michael による広く引用されている定義は以下の通り．

     "A computer program is said to learn from experience E with respect to some class of tasks T and performance measure P, if its performance at tasks in T, as measured by P, improves with experience E."
     （コンピュータプログラムがタスクのクラスTと性能指標Pに関し経験Eから学習するとは、T内のタスクのPで測った性能が経験Eにより改善される事を言う．）
